The Champions League is back, and this time it's personal. The Round of 16 first legs kick off this Tuesday and Wednesday with a lineup of fixtures for soccer betting that reads like a greatest hits of European football: Real Madrid vs Manchester City (again), PSG vs Chelsea in a Club World Cup final rematch, Liverpool heading to Istanbul, and Bodø/Glimt's fairy tale continuing against Sporting CP.
Eight of Europe's biggest clubs secured home advantage for the second legs after finishing in the top 8 of the league phase — meaning the eight playoff winners must travel first. The pressure is on from minute one.

Three of Tuesday's favorites in one boosted accumulator:
Bayern Munich, Atlético Madrid & Barcelona All To Win - 9.00 (boosted from 7.00)
Bayern are Champions League favorites and face Atalanta away with a devastating attacking trio. Atlético are heavy favorites against a Tottenham side in freefall, Spurs haven't won a Premier League match in 2026 and are battling relegation. Barcelona, led by a red-hot Lamine Yamal, travel to Newcastle as slight underdogs on paper but are widely considered the superior side. At 9.00, this treble offers serious value for what many would consider the three most likely results of the night.
| Galatasaray | Draw | Liverpool |
|---|---|---|
| 4.30 | 4.10 | 1.74 |
Istanbul. Under the lights. Again. Liverpool travel to Turkey to face a Galatasaray side riding a wave of confidence after demolishing Juventus 5-2 in the playoffs. Victor Osimhen remains one of the most dangerous strikers in Europe, and the Ali Sami Yen will be rocking.
But this is a very different proposition to Juventus. Liverpool topped the league phase standings and possess far more attacking talent than the Bianconeri. Still, there are reasons for concern: the Reds are navigating a tricky domestic spell, and Galatasaray already beat them 1-0 at home in the league phase back in September, one of the results that triggered Liverpool's worst run of the season.
Expect a hostile atmosphere, a physical battle, and goals. Galatasaray's home record in Europe is formidable, but Liverpool's quality should see them through, though a draw wouldn't be a disaster with the second leg at Anfield to come.
🔥 Mega Boost: Osimhen & Ekitike Both To Have A Shot On Target & 6+ Cards In The Match - 5.50 (boosted from 4.50)
| Atlético | Draw | Tottenham |
|---|---|---|
| 1.73 | 3.70 | 4.90 |
On paper, this looks like it could be the most one-sided tie of the round. Tottenham are in genuine relegation danger in the Premier League, winless in the league in 2026, and their interim manager's approach has done little to lift spirits. Yes, Spurs won the Europa League last season and overperformed in the Champions League league phase, but their domestic form tells a different story entirely.
Atlético, meanwhile, reached the Copa del Rey final and sit third in La Liga. Diego Simeone's side recently dismantled Barcelona 4-0 in the first leg of the Copa, and with Alexander Sørloth and Julián Álvarez leading the line alongside the evergreen Antoine Griezmann, they have firepower across the pitch. The Metropolitano will be hostile, and nine of Atlético's ten Champions League matches this season have produced three or more goals.
Spurs have averaged over two goals per game in Europe (17 in eight league phase matches) and have actually looked more competitive on the continent than domestically. But their defensive record is alarming, and Atlético should feast on the space Tottenham leave at the back.
🔥 Odds Boost: Atlético Madrid To Win & Alexander Sørloth To Score 1st - 5.00 (boosted from 4.50)
| Atalanta | Draw | Bayern Munich |
|---|---|---|
| 4.50 | 4.35 | 1.67 |
Atalanta are the last Italian club standing in the Champions League, and they face arguably the tournament favorites. Bayern Munich have been sensational this season, with their attacking trio causing havoc across Europe. Luis Díaz, a winter signing who has settled quickly, adds another dimension to an already fearsome front line.
Atalanta made it through the playoffs by overturning a 2-0 deficit against Borussia Dortmund, showing the kind of resilience that has defined Gian Piero Gasperini's tenure. They'll be backed by a passionate Gewiss Stadium crowd and won't roll over, but Bayern's quality on the road is a clear step above Dortmund.
The Bavarians have the squad depth, the tactical flexibility, and the away form to take a commanding first-leg lead back to Munich. Atalanta's best hope is to make this chaotic and high-scoring, playing into Bayern's hands is a death sentence.
🔥 Odds Boost: Bayern Munich To Win & Luis Díaz To Score Anytime - 3.50 (boosted from 3.00)
| Newcastle | Draw | Barcelona |
|---|---|---|
| 2.60 | 3.85 | 2.44 |
A proper Champions League blockbuster under the St. James' Park lights. Newcastle's 6-1 demolition of Qarabağ in the playoffs showed what this team is capable of, and Anthony Gordon is in the form of his life. The Magpies haven't lost at home in European competition this season and the atmosphere will be electric.
But Barcelona are a different animal. Lamine Yamal is playing the best football of his young career, Marcus Rashford has already scored against Newcastle in the league phase (Barça won 2-1 at St. James' Park back in September), and Hansi Flick's side sit top of La Liga with a four-point lead over Real Madrid.
This is the tie where home advantage matters most. Newcastle's intensity, physicality, and crowd can unsettle anyone, but Barcelona's technical quality in tight spaces could be the decisive factor. Expect a tight, tense affair where one goal could swing the entire tie.
🔥 Mega Boost: Both Teams To Score & Both Teams To Receive 2+ Cards Each - 3.50 (boosted from 2.75)
| Leverkusen | Draw | Arsenal |
|---|---|---|
| 5.70 | 4.15 | 1.57 |
Arsenal are the team to beat in this year's Champions League. Mikel Arteta's side completed the league phase with a perfect record, eight wins, zero draws, zero defeats, and they sit top of the Premier League. Drawing Leverkusen feels like a kind bracket for the Gunners.
Leverkusen have had a turbulent season. Xabi Alonso's title-winning core has largely departed, Erik ten Hag's brief reign ended in disaster, and new coach Kasper Hjulmand has stabilized things without truly threatening Europe's elite. They sit outside the Champions League spots in the Bundesliga.
Patrik Schick and set-piece specialist Álex Grimaldo can hurt anyone on their day, and the BayArena will be fired up. But Arsenal's defensive solidity, tactical discipline, and depth across the squad make them heavy favorites. A strong away result here could effectively end the tie before the second leg at the Emirates.
🔥 Mega Boost: Arsenal To Win 2-1, 3-1 Or 4-1 - 5.50 (boosted from 4.25)
| PSG | Draw | Chelsea |
|---|---|---|
| 1.95 | 3.80 | 3.65 |
The rematch. Chelsea beat PSG 3-0 in last summer's Club World Cup final, and the French champions will be hungry for revenge. PSG are the defending Champions League holders, leading Ligue 1, and have home advantage at the Parc des Princes.
But this PSG side has looked vulnerable. They've dropped points to Rennes, Sporting, and Monaco this season, and there are concerns over Ousmane Dembélé's fitness. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has been electric, however, and the full-back duo of Nuno Mendes and Achraf Hakimi remains the best in world football.
Chelsea have been frustratingly inconsistent, capable of beating anyone on their day but just as likely to implode. Liam Rosenior's squad has picked up nine red cards this season, highlighting a discipline problem that could prove costly in Paris. João Pedro and Cole Palmer are both in excellent form, though, and Chelsea know exactly how to hurt this PSG midfield from the Club World Cup blueprint.
This is the most evenly matched tie of the round and could go either way.
🔥 Odds Boost: Khvicha Kvaratskhelia Or João Pedro To Score First - 3.75 (boosted from 3.25)
| Bodø/Glimt | Draw | Sporting CP |
|---|---|---|
| 2.55 | 3.65 | 2.60 |
The fairy tale continues. Bodø/Glimt, who finished 23rd in the league phase, are somehow in the Champions League Round of 16 after stunning results against Manchester City (3-1), Atlético Madrid (away win), and Inter Milan (4-1 over two legs). Kjetil Knutsen's side play on an artificial pitch in the Arctic Circle, where they haven't lost since November, and their fearless attacking approach has captivated all of Europe.
Sporting CP are no pushovers. The Portuguese champions haven't lost since early January, and Luis Suárez has been sensational, 22 goals in 21 matches across all competitions, including big goals against Porto, PSG, and Club Brugge. Sporting beat PSG in the league phase and are the kind of technically excellent team that could handle Bodø's intensity.
But there's something special happening in northern Norway. The crowd, the pitch, the cold — it all adds up to an experience visiting teams simply aren't prepared for. This could be the most entertaining match of the round.
🔥 Odds Boost: Bodø/Glimt To Win 2-1, 3-1 Or 4-1 - 6.00 (boosted from 5.50)
| Real Madrid | Draw | Manchester City |
|---|---|---|
| 3.45 | 3.80 | 2.01 |
The modern Champions League classic. Real Madrid and Manchester City have met in the knockout stages in 2022 (semis), 2023 (semis), 2024 (quarters), and 2025 (R16), and now they go again. Real Madrid knocked City out last season, but City returned the favor by winning 2-1 at the Bernabéu in the league phase in December.
Real Madrid are in trouble. Kylian Mbappé is battling a knee injury and is a serious doubt, Jude Bellingham is out injured, and Dani Ceballos has joined the treatment room. Álvaro Arbeloa's side slipped to a loss at Osasuna at the weekend and sit second in La Liga behind Barcelona. The squad depth that once defined Los Blancos feels stretched thin.
Manchester City, by contrast, have been rejuvenated. Winter signings Marc Guehi and Antoine Semenyo have added steel and pace, and Erling Haaland continues to be a one-man wrecking ball. Pep Guardiola's side finished in the top 8 of the league phase and, crucially, have home advantage for the second leg at the Etihad.
With Madrid weakened and City hungry, the visitors are slight favorites to take a result from the Bernabéu. This promises to be another epic chapter in what has become European football's defining modern rivalry.
🔥 Mega Boost: Man City To Win & Haaland To Have 2+ Shots On Target - 4.50 (boosted from 3.50)
